Changing Font Size

Q: How can I change font size if I don't use Google Chrome like in the video?

A: Our Customer Experience team has a document that details how to do so in other popular browsers, such as Safari, Firefox, and Edge, that we can share with you.

Q: Will this only affect me?

A: Yes, this setting is user-specific and won't impact other users in your system.

SAP Companion Panel

Q: Is there something like the SAP Companion Panel in the SAP B1 Client?

A: No, the SAP Web Client has more robust in-app assistance. In the SAP B1 client, the last icon that looks like a question mark in the toolbar is the Context Help. When clicked, it will prompt a download of the SAP Help Portal page for the document or form the user is currently accessing. We also use the F1 key for this.

Adding Query to Module

Q: Will the query still work in the module if it is later updated in the Query Manager?

A: Yes, since it is configured to always pull from the query saved in the Query Manager, all updates to the query will flow through to the one saved in the module and take effect automatically.

Form Settings - Search and GL Accounts

Q: Can I undo the changes made to the Form Settings?

A: Yes. This can be done in several ways: 1. Manually reverse the changes you made by unchecking the boxes of fields to make them invisible, 2. Reset to default settings through the form configuration options.

Substitute Authorizer

Q: Can I set this up in advance for an employee's upcoming vacation?

A: Yes. After setting it up and specifying the date range, no additional steps are needed. It will take effect during the specified dates automatically.

Q: Is there a way to see what the substitute worked on?

A: Yes. Using the Approval Status Report, you can see the Approver and track all actions taken by the substitute during their authorization period.

Import from Excel

Q: Does this tool ever fail or encounter errors? Will it tell me?

A: Yes. If the data is not in the correct format, for example, it can error and provide an error message. The entire import list will not fail; only the errored ones will be excluded.
